Homemade Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomato puree
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. molasses
    1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1/8 tsp. basil
    1/8 tsp. tarragon
Preparation
    Mix together in a 3-quart pan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours or until thick and reduce heat again.
    Stir occasionally.
    Can be stored in refrigerator for 1 month or frozen in small quantities.
    Makes 3 cups.
