1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
1/4 c. butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. real maple syrup
1 1/4 c. broken walnuts or pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Partially bake pie shell for 6 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
Cool. Cream butter and brown sugar well.
Add beaten eggs and maple syrup.
Add nuts, vanilla and salt.
Mix.
Pour into cooled shell. Bake 15 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
