Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon and orange flavoring
1/2 tsp. hot water
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix soda in hot water; stir in buttermilk.
Add salt.
Sift flour and add slowly.
Bake for 2 hours at 250\u00b0.
