Quickie Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 stick butter or oleo
    2 c. fruit (your choice)
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients well, then add milk, making thin batter. Place butter in an 8-inch baking dish and melt.
    Pour the thin batter over melted butter.
    Do not stir! Place 2 cups fruit of your choice (fresh or canned, drained) over the batter and sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar or less.
