Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation
    Melt
    the
    margarine and stir in the brown sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to
    a
    boil, stirring constantly; boil without stirring 5 minutes. Remove\tfrom heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla.
    Gradually pour over the popcorn. Mix well. Turn into 2 large shallow baking
    dishes.
    Bake in 250\u00b0 oven 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.\tRemove from oven; cool completely. Break apart and
    store
    in\ttightly
    covered container.
    Makes about 5 quarts.
