Chocolate Sheet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 stick margarine
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Sift together sugar and flour.
Bring to a boil in saucepan the shortening, margarine, water and cocoa.
Pour over flour and sugar while still hot.
Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, vanilla and nuts (optional).
Bake in a large sheet cake pan or two 8 x 1-inch cake pans for 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
While cake is baking, make icing.
