Broccoli Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, thawed
    1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. butter cracker crumbs
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Combine broccoli, mushroom soup, half the cracker crumbs, egg, onion, half the cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, water chestnuts and mayonnaise in bowl; mix well.
    Spoon into 2 1/2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with remaining cracker crumbs and cheese. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yield: 8 servings.
