Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (2 sticks) sweet butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1 3/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 tsp. baking soda
5 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe follows)
1 or 2 medium size firm, but ripe bananas, sliced
1 1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Grease and flour two 9-inch layer cake pans.
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add 1 cup of mashed bananas, mixing thoroughly.
