Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. Karo syrup
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. raw peanuts
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix water, Karo syrup and sugar in 3-quart pot and heat over high fire; stir once.
    Grease 12 pans.
    After coming to a high boil, the white foam goes down.
    Pour peanuts in and mix.
    Stir occasionally, about 3 times.
    When starting to turn brown, remove from heat and stir in butter, baking soda and salt (over the pans). Keep stirring and slopping in pans fast.
