Favorite Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    butter or margarine
    maple-flavored syrup, warmed
Preparation
    Preheat lightly greased griddle.
    In mixing bowl stir together flour and sugar.
    Combine egg, milk and oil; add all at once to flour mixture, stirring just until blended and still slightly lumpy.
    Pour about 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle for each standard-size pancake or about 1 tablespoon batter for each dollar-size pancake.
    Cook until golden brown, turning once.
