Pineapple Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 small can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 c. (heaping) Cool Whip
    2/3 c. chopped pecans
    3 oz. box orange jello
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Bring pineapple, water and sugar to boil.
    Add jello; let cool.
    Place in the refrigerator until consistency of egg whites. Add nuts and cheese.
    Fold in Cool Whip.
    Congeal.
