Quick And Easy Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
2 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon or almond extract
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar, beating well on medium speed of mixer.
Add eggs, beating well.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda and nutmeg.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Mix well.
Stir in extract.
Drop dough by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool.
Yield:
6 dozen.
