Chuck Wagon Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. water
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with mushrooms
1/2 c. coffee, brewed
3 to 4 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
3 (1 lb.) cans kidney beans, drained
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp and drain.
Pour bacon grease in heavy Dutch oven or casserole and add beef.
Cover and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Add onion, garlic and water.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Add remaining ingredients and bake for another hour.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
