Boiled White Turnips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. young turnips
    water
    salt
    pepper
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 to 4 Tbsp. pork fat or margarine
Preparation
    Wash and peel turnips.
    Slice in 1/4-inch slices.
    In kettle or pot, cover turnips with water, 1 teaspoon salt and salt pork. Boil 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
    Drain; season with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Dress with plenty of margarine.
