Butter Roll(1930) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
2 Tbsp. Crisco shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Mix first three ingredients well.
Pour on well-floured board or wax paper.
Roll thin with floured rolling pin about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut butter into small pieces; place evenly over dough. Pour sugar over butter.
