2 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 stick butter, softened
2 egg whites
pinch of salt
2 c. milk
1 c. heavy cream
2 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
3/4 c. sugar
1 (4 oz.) tin shredded coconut
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shredded coconut, toasted lightly
Preparation

In a small bowl beat egg whites with salt until frothy.
Spoon into shell, covering bottom.
Bake 5 more minutes and cool on rack.
