Vidalia Onion Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large onions, sliced in 1/4-inch pieces
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/3 c. water
    salt and pepper
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Peel and slice onions; cut in 1/4-inch slices.
    Add margarine to large frypan.
    When melted, add onions and water.
    Salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook until tender-crisp.
    Add flour and stir in well.
    Add grated Cheddar cheese and milk.
    Cook until bubbly and cheese is melted.
    Put in greased casserole and top with more cheese or bread crumbs.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 about 15 to 20 minutes.
