White Cucumber Strips - cooking recipe

Ingredients

large cucumbers
2 1/2 c. pickling lime
1/4 lb. alum
2 qt. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. whole spice
5 lb. sugar

Preparation

Cut into strips from center of peeled cucumbers (avoiding large seed) to measure 7 pounds.
