Ingredients

1/4 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar (white)
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 (16 oz.) can beets, drained
Preparation

In saucepan, bring to a boil vinegar, brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
Pour over beets.
Let stand at least 8 hours.
This keeps well in a covered jar or dish in refrigerator.
Yield:
2 cups.
