Hot Spiced Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. + 1 qt. apple juice
    1 c. lemon juice
    1 c. brown sugar
    4 cinnamon sticks, broken
    2 tsp. ginger
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
    May be cooled and refrigerated, covered.
    Just before serving, reheat slowly. Strain to remove spices if desired.
    Serve hot in mugs or punch cups with cookies.
    Serves 24.
