No-Knead Cinnamon Rolls - cooking recipe

1/2 c. scalded milk
3 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. plus 3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 egg, beaten
3 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts
1 pared, grated apple (if desired)
Preparation

Combine milk, shortening, 3 tablespoons sugar and salt.
Cool to lukewarm by adding water.
Add yeast.
Mix well and let stand 7 minutes.
Blend in egg and flour.
Mix until dough is well blended and smooth.
Roll out dough on floured surface into an 18 x 12-inch shape.
