Italian Cream Cake And Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 small can coconut
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    5 egg yolks
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add egg yolks; beat well.
    Mix flour and soda; add to mixture.
    Add buttermilk; stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and pecans and fold in egg whites.
    Pour in tube pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
