Ding Bats - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1-1/2 c. dates, cut up
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Coconut
Preparation

Combine dates, shortening, sugar and egg.
Cook in double boiler for 15 minutes and then pour over Rice Krispies and nuts. Form into balls and roll in coconut.
Place on waxed paper to set.
