Prize Butter Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar, salt and vanilla; mix well.
    Add flour and beat on low speed until fine particles form.
    Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining crumbs in ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cream together cream cheese, butter and brown sugar.
    Spread over bottom layer as evenly as possible.
    Sprinkle chopped nuts over top. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
