Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (1 oz. each) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. all-purpose or whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Heat chocolate and shortening in a 2-quart pan over low heat, stirring until melted.
Remove from heat.
Mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
