Pineapple Stacked Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/2 oz.) box Duncan butter cake mix
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    3 eggs
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 eggs, separated
    3 Tbsp. flour (level)
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    5 Tbsp. water
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cake:
    Use buttermilk and eggs to substitute ingredients on package.
    Mix cake according to directions on cake package, pouring batter into 3 prepared pans.
    Bake per package directions. Adjust time for 3 layers or you may bake just 2 layers.
    Slice each layer in two, making 4 layers.
