Ingredients

1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3 c. unsifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the milk and eggs.
Combine the baking powder to the flour, then to the creamy mixture.
Add extra flour (1 cup).
Roll out dough to about 1/8-inch thick.
Cut out with doughnut cutter and fry in hot oil.
Can be rolled in sugar while warm.
