Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 lb. cucumbers
1 c. pickling lime
2 gal. water
8 c. distilled white vinegar (5% acidity)
8 c. sugar
1 pack Mrs. Wages sweet pickle mix
Preparation

Add pickling lime to water.
Slice cucumbers.
Put in lime water.
Soak overnight or 12 hours in crockery on enamelware.
Add sugar, vinegar and pickle mix in large pan.
Bring to boil.
Pour over packed pickles in jars.
Cap each jar when filled.
Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
