Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. apricot preserves or jam
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    3/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Stir in oatmeal and sugar.
    Cut in margarine until crumbly. Pat 2/3 of mixture into 11 x 7 1/2-inch pan.
    Spread with apricot preserves and crumble remaining mixture on top.
    Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool and cut into bars.
