Birthday Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. uncooked oats
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Beat together firmly packed brown sugar and butter until light.
    Blend in eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture; mix well.
    Stir in uncooked oats, semi-sweet chocolate pieces and chopped nuts.
    Divide dough in half.
    Spread each half to 3/4-inch thickness on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 17 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes two 11-inch cookies.
