Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    1/3 c. molasses
    1/3 c. corn meal
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine milk and molasses.
    Stir in cornmeal; cook and stir until bubbly.
    Reduce heat; cook and stir for 10 minutes more.
    Remove from heat.
    Combine egg, sugar, oleo and rest of ingredients.
    Stir into hot mixture.
    Pour into a 1-quart casserole.
    Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
