1-2-3-4 Cake(Makes 12 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 large eggs
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour two 9-inch or three 8-inch round cake pans.
    In large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Stir together flour and baking powder.
    Add alternately with vanilla and milk, beating at low speed, until well combined.
    Do not overbeat.
    Turn into prepared pans and bake until golden and centers spring back when gently pressed, about 30 to 35 minutes for 9-inch pans or 25 to 30 minutes for 8-inch pans. Cool 5 minutes in pans.
    Remove from pans and cool completely.
