Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) soft butter
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar.
    Add sour cream.
    Mix flour, soda and salt together; add to creamed mixture.
    Beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Mix in extract.
    Turn batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Test and bake longer if needed.
    (If desired, a lemon glaze may be used.)
