Festive Fried Squash Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    12 large, freshly picked squash blossoms
Preparation
    In a medium bowl mix flour, baking powder and garlic salt.
    In another bowl combine egg, milk and oil.
    Add to dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
    Dip blossoms into batter (after rinsing). Heat 2 inches of oil in skillet to 375\u00b0 and fry a few at a time until crisp.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Keep warm until serving time.
