Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 jalapeno peppers
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. milk
    1 can cream-style corn
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Place beef and peppers in a skillet and cook until beef is brown.
    In a bowl, mix together (with a spoon) cornmeal, salt, soda, milk, corn, eggs and bacon drippings.
    Grease a large cast-iron skillet and heat until hot.
    Pour in 1/2 of the cornmeal batter.
    Cover with beef.
    Sprinkle cheese over beef.
    Pour on remaining batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
