Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
pecan halves
Preparation

Melt butter in frying pan until lightly browned.
Add oats and mix well.
Remove from heat and add chocolate bits.
Cool mixture thoroughly.
Beat egg until thick and lemon colored.
Gradually add sugar, a teaspoon at a time.
Beat mixture until thick.
Fold in oat mixture, mixing well.
Drop from a teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets.
Press pecan half into top of each cookie if you wish.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen.
