Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. finely chopped onion
3 c. peeled and cubed potatoes
2 c. boiling water
1 small carrot, grated
1 c. chicken broth
1 c. half and half
1 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
dash of cayenne pepper
1 c. thinly sliced celery
Preparation

In a large pot, melt butter and cook onions until tender and limp, but not brown, about 20 minutes.
Add potatoes, boiling water and carrot.
Cook until potatoes are just barely done, about 20 minutes.
Add chicken broth, half and half, milk, salt, white pepper and cayenne.
Cook for 10 minutes.
