Good Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    5 Tbsp. water
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients to make soft dough.
    Divide into two parts.
    Roll very thin and let dry 15 to 20 minutes.
    Cut into strips or 2-inch squares and drop into simmering chicken broth. Cook until done or 15 to 20 minutes.
