Mixed Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 cucumbers, cut into chunks
    6 green peppers
    6 green tomatoes
    3/4 c. pickling salt
    6 large carrots, peeled and cut into strips
    4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    3 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. pickling salt
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    In large nonmetal container, cover first 3 ingredients with a mixture of 3/4 cup salt and 6 cups of water. Cover and let stand in cool place overnight.
    Drain.
    Rinse.
    Place in large kettle.
