Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. sliced strawberries
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
whipped cream
Preparation

Stir together berries and 1/4 cup sugar.
Combine remaining sugar and all ingredients except whipped topping.
Mix well. Spread into a greased pan.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Let cake cool, then cut into squares.
Top with berries and whipped topping.
