Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. white Karo
3/4 c. hot water
pinch of salt
2 egg whites, beaten until stiff
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients and cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Boil until it cracks as it cooks and will stand like an icicle when dropped in cold water.
I beat my egg whites while candy is cooking. Pour the sugar mixture over the egg whites and beat until it stands in peaks in bowl.
Dip by spoonful and place on waxed paper.
Nuts or coconut (1/2 cup) may be added just before time to cool.
