Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pineapple chunks, save juice
    2 to 3 unpeeled apples, cut into bite-sized pieces
    4 c. mini marshmallows
    1 c. chopped Spanish peanuts
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine juice, egg, flour, sugar and vinegar. Cook until thick.
    Cool.
    In a large bowl combine pineapple, apples, marshmallows, 1/2 cup peanuts and the cooled mixture. Fold in Cool Whip.
    Sprinkle remainder of peanuts on top. Refrigrate.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
    Great for picnics, barbecues and potlucks.
    Kids will love it!
    Pineapple juice prevents apples from turning brown so this salad can be made the night before.
