Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
4 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sweet milk

Preparation

Cream together cocoa, sugar and butter.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Sift flour.
Measure and sift again with soda.
Add alternately with milk, beating until batter is smooth. Bake in 3 layers at 350\u00b0.
