Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cooking apples
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cut apples into fourths.
    Heat apples and water to boiling. Reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, stirring to break up apples, until tender, 5 to 10 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat until boiling and boil 1 minute.
