French Toast Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 slices bread
    10 oz. strawberries
    4 to 5 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation
    Beat eggs slightly; blend in milk, sugar and vanilla.
    Brown French toast (using some of the oleo).
    Quarter the toast slices and keep in the oven.
    In an 8 or 10-inch Corningware dish, pour the remaining egg mixture and cook 2 minutes on medium heat.
    Put in the toast quarters by standing on end.
    Cover pan and cook until set.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon.
    Serve with warm strawberries.
