French Vanilla Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Stir in the scalded milk.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake in moderate (350\u00b0) oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
