No Fail Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. sifted confectioners sugar (or as much as needed for right consistency to spread on cake)
Preparation

Melt butter; add sugars. Boil on low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add milk and keep stirring until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract; let cool thoroughly, then add confectioners sugar. Spread on cool cake. (If margarine is used, use a good grade such as Parkay.)
