German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes (2 lb.)
8 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
dash of pepper
1 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
1/2 c. chopped celery
4 cut up hard-boiled eggs
Preparation

Cook potatoes in salt water until tender. Peel and slice potatoes.
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
Drain and crumble.
Reserve 1/4 cup drippings.
Cook onion and celery in drippings until tender but not brown. Stir in the flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Add water and vinegar.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
Stir in bacon and potatoes. Cook about 5 minutes or until heated through, tossing lightly.
Add hard-boiled eggs. Toss lightly just to mix.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
