Portuguese Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red beans
    1 ham hock
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic
    2 cans tomato sauce
    1 small bunch parsley, chopped
    1 (13 oz.) pkg. sausage (Portuguese)
    2 carrots
    2 potatoes
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Chop all vegetables.
    Add water to beans to cover.
    Cook beans with ham hock until soft.
    Add chopped vegetables and sausage, cut in bite sizes.
    Boil 1/2 hour.
    Season to taste.
