Frosty Snow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarins
    4 Tbsp. plum wine
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    orange juice or water (optional)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 egg white
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in water; dissolve in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
    In a blender, combine vanilla, wine, sugar, mandarins with their canning syrup, adding more juice or water to make 1 cup liquid.
    Blend 10 seconds.
    Beat egg white until stiff.
    Pour gelatin into a bowl, add mandarin mixture and stir well.
    Fold in beaten egg white, beat 30 seconds with egg beater.
    Chill until set.
    Serve in sherbet dishes.
    Serves 4.
